Are women that hard to understand?
Well apparently we are so Cosmo has created an app  to help men get into our head.  After realising that over 7% of its readers, and one third of website visitors, are male, Cosmo has decided to launch a CFG (Cosmo for Guys) app on the iPad.  Most men who read it are stealing their girlfriend’s copy, and even if there were a specific magazine targeted at guys, research by Cosmo suggests that men would still be too embarrassed to buy it. Perhaps if they were able to read Cosmo in private on their iPads, they would consider shelling out $3.99 per issue.

The app will contain videos, stories and sex tips, as well as interactive features such as flowcharts and a “will she like it?” section- where poll information on fashion from the Cosmo website will help men choose the perfect gift for their girl.

What most are talking about is not the app itself, but the creepy, viral marketing campaign, simply known as the “iPad Head Girl”. In the video, a woman strolls around New York in a helmet made of four iPads, each one with a pre-recorded video of her face.  When someone is brave enough to touch her face, the CFG app appears. The tagline is that the app lets men “get inside a woman’s head”, but some are finding the association of sex and a creepy cyborg head too much to handle. Maybe these blokes could try just talking to women.. it might be a cheaper way of finding out what they like.. See what you think.
